Sociétés Coopératives Agricoles Réunies (SCAR)  SCAR has been manufacturing animal feed since1898. 65 people spread around 4 production sites (Herve, Argenteau, Henri-Chapelle, Büllingen (organic plant) and 2 storage centres (Ouffet, Waimes)now enable us to produce +/- 61,000 T of feed and achieve a turnover of Euro 21,000,000 a year. SCAR covers three diversified and complementary sectors:  Agriculture (55% including 18% for organic) !  - Manufacture and distribution of standard compound feedingstuffs for cattle, pigs, poultry, sheep and rabbits; organic feed and minerals - Distribution of powdered milk, licking buckets and block licking, hygiene products, silos, tarpaulins and miscellaneous small capacity equipment - Distribution and manufacture of fertilisers (simple, bulk-blending and complex compounds) - Distribution of grass seeds, cereals, maize, etc. - Distribution of plant health products Customers : ± 1,200 farmers and traders Field of activity : Wallonia, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, West Flanders, Eifel in Germany Technical services : technical follow-ups, calculating rations, fodder and earth analyses, calculating fertilisation and soil additives, reception of cereals, crop trials, partnerships with distribution channels, etc.  Cereals and gardening (25%) - Distribution and manufacture of feed (grit, mixes of grains, flakes, polishings, pellets, molasses, croquettes, etc.) for keeping of small animals, animals for hobbies and pets (poultry, rabbits, small rodents, small ruminant animals, birds, pigeons, horses, dogs, cats, etc.): Vital feed, private labels, small packaging - Distribution of feeds and specific additives for keeping of small animals, animals for hobbies and pets Natural, ANiMill, Gamiferme, Pédigree,... - Distribution of garden products (fertilisers, potting compost, bark, seeds, plant health products, etc.) - Distribution of miscellaneous small capacity equipment for rearing as a hobby - Distribution of Artémis books (rearing, gardens, recreation, cooking, etc.)  Customers : ± 300 hobby retail stores for seeds and gardening  Field of activity : Wallonia, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, West Flanders, Eifel in Germany, Northern France Service : layout advice and monitoring hobby stores for seeds and gardening, ± 3,500 references, weekly deliveries, panels, prospectus, etc.   Fuel (20%) - Home distribution of diesel oil, fuel oil, petrol - Distribution of oil, gas, and motor oils - Marketing fuel oil tanks consistent with the standards   Customers : ± 2,500 farmers and private individuals Fields of activity : Plateau of Herve, municipality of Waimes and bordering municipalities, vallée of the Ourthe, etc. Services : fast service, legislative follow-up, fuel oil information. These three sectors carefully spread their activities over six purely operational headquarters with specific productions. These fully automated sites are interconnected electronically for optimum, monitored and centralised management of stocks, incoming goods, billing and accounting.
