Description of the activities An excellent set-up along the Meuse in the Liège Port Authority's catchment area, Walagri has  a total storage capacity for 60,000 T of cereals and farm fertilisers, all located on a site allowing further opportunities for extension. Heavy investments have been made to build upon this line of business. This could be described as 'cereals preparation' with a view to catering for the steadily rising level of demand from industrial customers that know what they want and are determined to get it : examples are maize drying, cleaning and calibrating barley for brewing, composition of uniform batches of cereals. Acquired in 2002, the Brichart SA is the one deploying the installations for operational purposes. This fully-fledged legal entity focuses on four key aims: •  boosting the overall storage of Wal.Agri SA and Brichart SA ; •  enjoying facilities accredited by the BIRB (Belgian Intervention and Restitution Office) for cereals ; •  providing installations allowing for multi-product storage (fertilisers and cereals) in a strategic location ; •  developing the supply (fertilisers) and sales (cereals) options by waterway. This site at the edge of the river Meuse strengthens the Wal.Agri group's strategic position in terms of water's edge storage in Belgium. Head office: Rue de la Basse-Sambre, 16 – 5140 SOMBREFFE
