Located at the heart of the world's densest navigable network, that of the great Rheno-Scaldéo-Mosan basin (20,000 km), the Port of Liege is Belgium's leading inland port and Europe's third-largest.

It therefore benefits from exceptional connectivity, offering direct and easy access to the largest European ports, reinforcing its strategic role in international trade.

The Port of Antwerp - Bruges (129 km) is accessible via the Albert Canal (3.40 m draught);

The Port of Rotterdam (250 km) is accessible via the Juliana Canal (draught 2.80 m) and the Meuse;

The Port of Dunkirk is accessible via the East-West axis.

Liege therefore presents itself as a remarkably well-located intermodal transport centre close to the Netherlands, Germany and France, at the heart of one of the densest road, rail and river networks in Europe.

This is complemented by the proximity of an international TGV station in the centre of Liege, as well as that of Liege Airport (Europe's 6th largest freight airport).
