The missions of the Liege Port Authority

The Port Autonome de Liege is a Walloon public administration unit (UAP) whose mission is to develop and equip port areas in order to make them available to waterway users and/or other investor candidates by means of concessions or temporary authorisation.

The port areas managed by the Liege Port Authority are located in the province of Liege and cover 383 hectares.

A public establishment created by the law of 21 June 1937, amended by the law of 10 January 1969 and by the programme decree of 18 December 2003, the Liege Port Authority manages 33 ports dotted along the Meuse and the Albert Canal.
